John Kovac and his team created a sensation when they announced finding the evidence of primordial gravitational waves in March 2014, thus confirming the theory of inflation. However, this study has become embroiled in controversy ever since. Recently, two independent analyses suggested that the twisting patterns in the cosmic microwave background polarization could be accounted for by dust in the Milky Way Galaxy. But a final determination will be made when a precise dust map becomes available, which is expected to be released in October.
